The Band - Joel Shepherd and Heather Shepherd - are two singer/songwriters who come together to form a unique flavor that shines through in their intimate lyrics, tight family harmony and rich musical composition. 

 

The members of this sibling duo have been singing together in one form or another since childhood in the Appalachian coalfields of Kentucky.

 

Many hours were spent around Joel’s piano writing new songs and developing an elegantly melodic and unique work that became The Coal Flowers. 

 

The album was produced in Nashville, TN by multi-Grammy winning producer Drew Ramsey.
